My Top 15 Things To Do In London

Here are my top 15 things to do in London… it was supposed to be top 10 but I couldn’t narrow it down to only 10 in a city that has so much going on!!

The Royal Parks – stroll through any of the parks and escape the hustle and bustle of the City. There are plenty to choose from… Hyde Park, Green Park, Regent’s Park.

The Natural History Museum – a fantastic, free museum with something of interest for all ages.

The British Museum – so many amazing things in one place and a beautiful building as well!

London Markets – London has some amazing markets… which market you decide to visit depends on what you are looking for. If it’s food, head to Borough Market, for antiques try Portobello Road, and if you want somewhere fun, Camden is definitely the place to go!

Covent Garden – beautiful crafts, live performances and great cafes – what’s not to like?

The Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – walk through this lovely park and admire the facilities built for the 2012 Olympics.  You can even have a swim at the Aquatic Centre and imagine you are Adam Peaty…

The London Eye – offers great views of London!

Buckingham Palace – I have been to London so many times but I never feel like I have really visited unless I see Buckingham Palace and the guards!!

The West End – you can’t beat a good musical in the West End!

The Port House – great restaurant on The Strand, offering mouth-watering tapas in a candlelit, exposed brick, bar.

Shopping – nowhere in the UK offers more varied shopping than London… from street markets right through to Harrods.

The Covent Garden Cocktail Club – laid-back member’s club offering fantastic cocktails in a dark basement kitted out with comfortable leather sofas.

The Photographer’s Gallery – if you like photography this gallery has some great exhibitions, but check what’s on before you visit as they change regularly.

The Victoria & Albert Museum – this is one of my favourite museums, with a huge collection dedicated to art and design.

Sporting Events – London hosts so many fantastic events such as the Virgin London Marathon (April), Prudential Ride London 100 (July) and the Vitality London 10k (May).  Get involved – you won’t find a better atmosphere anywhere else!

Happy Travelling
