Travel Interview: Freya, 11

As my daughter loves to travel and visit new places I decided to do a short interview and get her perspective on her travel experiences to date.  So here are her answers to my questions:

What has been your favourite holiday so far and why?

My favourite holiday was Disneyworld, Florida – it was awesome! I loved all the rides and meeting the characters.

What was your very favourite part of the trip?

Going to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to be made into a Princess for a Day, then going to Cinderella’s Castle for lunch afterwards!

What was your favourite souvenir from Disneyworld?

My cuddly Simba (from the Lion King). I love ALL my soft toys though!  (Me: And we did bring rather a LOT of them home from Disney, didn’t we?!)

Would you go to Disneyworld again?

YES!! Can we go again next year?  (Me: Erm, not really I’m afraid!)

What was your favourite Disney Park?

I loved the water parks most – Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.  The slides were so much fun!

Have you been to any of the other Disney Parks?

Yes, we went to Disneyland Paris this summer. I didn’t think it was quite as good as there isn’t quite as much to do – and there aren’t any water parks – but I still really enjoyed it…

What’s your favourite country you’ve visited so far?

Spain, I think.  I like the sunny weather and watching Flamenco.  And I can speak a bit of Spanish so it’s fun trying it out.

What’s your favourite way to travel?

I prefer going by plane because it’s much quicker.  I don’t really like ferries – they make me feel ill!

Do you generally enjoy the journey when you go on holiday?

No, it’s usually pretty boring and I sometimes feel unwell however we travel.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Hawaii.  It’s sunny and I could go surfing.  And I want to learn to Hula Dance too!  (Me: really?? I didn’t know that!)

What animal would you most like to see in the wild?

I’d like to see an elephant.  They are so big and stompy!

Thank you Freya! I will take your comments into account when booking our next holiday (although it’s not going to be Disneyworld I’m afraid!!).
