Have you got lots of plans for this summer? Or are you more of a ‘let’s wait and see what happens’ type person? I’m a bit of a planner – not particularly because I like to be organised but because I like to have something to look forward to… so here are a few of the things I want to do this summer:
Go to a MUsiC festival
It’s a few years since we last went to a festival but now our daughter is older (she’s 12) I think it’s time to introduce her to joy of music festivals! They were a summer staple when we were younger and I have really missed going so am very excited about this one! We are off to Download Festival (rock/metal) next month and I can’t wait…
Go camping (at least once!)
We have one camping trip with friends planned so far in the Peak District in July and I’m hoping we can squeeze another one in somewhere! I love camping – nothing beats waking up in the fresh air before enjoying a hearty camping fry up – yum!
Go to a spa
I want to do a spa day… and soon! But it has to be one that has a nice outdoor pool/jacuzzi/sun terrace where I can enjoy the sunny, summer weather (haha, this is the UK!). We’re off to Center Parcs Whinfell Forest in August and the lovely Aqua San Spa there has a gorgeous outdoor area, so I will definitely be ticking this one off my list!
Visit the seaside (I don’t EVEN mind where!)
Where we live is as far from the coast as you can get in the UK, which I absolutely hate! I love going to the seaside and I miss it so much… so we are going to go for at least one trip to the beach this summer!
Go to a theme park
I haven’t been to a theme park in the UK for many years (since I was in my teens I think)… and since theme parks are a big part of what my husband does for a living, I feel that I need to go and experience some of the local ones!
Go to a water park
My daughter went to a fantastic water park at Rutland Water last year with her friends and it looked such great fun… so I want us to go as a family this year! Although I’m not sure hubby will like it – he does not like being cold!!
That’s my wishlist – what’s on your wishlist for this summer?
