Things I’m looking forward to in June

This year has flown by so far hasn’t it?  I can’t believe it’s June already. I’ve got a few things in the diary that I’m really looking forward to this month so thought I’d share them with you…

The Start of Summer – yay! I live for the summer months – I love being outside so I always look forward to the long, sunny (hopefully!) days of summer!  I don’t like the cold, grey British winters at all…

Download Festival. This will definitely be one of the highlights of my summer… I love a good music festival! I’m a rock chick so Download is firmly on the calendar for June! Can’t wait to see Guns N’ Roses play for the first time in years…

Spa day… I’m doing a spa and afternoon tea this month (at Aqua Sana in Nottinghamshire), which I’m so looking forward to! Our daughter is on a school residential for 5 days this month, so we will be making the most of our child-free time (we have so little of it)! There will, of course, be a blog post about it very soon!

Wedding Anniversary.  It’s our 15th wedding anniversary this month (really, how did that happen?) and we are going to Hampshire to spend a night at the country house where we had our wedding reception.  It’s about 12 years since we last went so I cannot wait to see it again!

Trip to the seaside. We are going on a coach trip to the seaside with family and friends, although we’re not sure where yet as it’s going to be a surprise!  For me, a walk along a sandy beach and an ice cream is the perfect way to spend a few hours on a summer day.

So what are you looking forward to this month – do you have any exciting plans?

Have a great June!

Summer is on its way and Download sounds brilliant. Congratulations on your 15th anniversary. Sounds like a hell of a summer ahead for you.
