4 Reasons to Visit Australia

Ok, so if you’ve ever seen any pictures (or heard anything through the grapevine) about Australia, then we probably don’t need to convince you to go there. Everything is beautiful – from the wildlife to the architecture – and the only bad thing that we can think of about this country is literally the huge spiders. If you don’t mind spiders and snakes (we’re going to stop talking about this now…) then you’ll have the best time ever visiting some of the wonders on offer. From The Great Barrier Reef to the tasty food, we’re going to break down why you should visit…

  1. Australia’s wildlife is the best

Categorically, the wildlife here is the best. From The Great Barrier Reef – which is not only the largest coral reef in the world, but also the largest living thing that exists – to the beautiful Whitsunday Islands, there is everything on offer here. Take a trip to the white sandy beaches to chill out or go snorkeling and sailing; there’s something for you no matter what type of trip you’re looking to go on. If you’re feeling daring, check out what adventure tours Australia has to offer.

  1. The food is tasty

When we heard that Australians have their Christmas dinner – which is, incidentally, a barbeque – on the beach, we didn’t know how to feel about these guys. How is it possible to even cook a turkey on the barbeque? We’re going to let them off this time, however, because they have some delicious food on offer throughout the country. If, like us, you’d rather avoid the witchetty grubs, then they have some tasty seafood dishes and a whole host of barbeque tricks up their sleeves. Yum.

Yum yum!
  1. It’s always hot there

Whilst most of us are struggling to put up with the cold temperatures this December, there are a lot of people who are still enjoying the sunshine as if they’re on a permanent vacation. In Sydney it’s perfectly normal to see temperatures of around 75 degrees in the winter… so if you want to top up your tan and catch some rays – whatever month it may be – going to Australia is probably a good idea. And we’re not jealous at all.

  1. The people are interesting and diverse

Australian people are known for being genuine and honest, and they like to have fun. The population is diverse, and there are large indigenous communities settled throughout the continent. You can even go on tours with indigenous people and learn first-hand what the forests mean to them, and how they use them to uphold their traditions. This is a great opportunity, and is supposed to be very beautiful, so give it a try if you can!

Obviously, there is an endless list of reasons when it comes to why you should visit Australia, and these are just a few of them. Of course, the best way to experience all of the beauty a country has to offer is to visit yourself, as you never know what it is that you’ll find around the next corner. So get packing, get planning, and have the trip of a lifetime visiting the beautiful wonders on offer!

Happy Travelling!

  1. Travelled around Australia for a few months and loved it. Friendly people and great beaches plus tons of very weird wildlife which was great. Highly recommended.

  2. My husband and I really want to visit Australia one day. We’ve talked about it and planned a bit, we are just waiting until our boys are a little bit older before making that big of a trip.

    1. So do we… I think it would be a fun place to visit with children – there’s just so much for them to experience!

  3. Traveling to Australia is something I would love to do during the next few years. I have been to 3 continents but none of them is Australia. So, need to fill this gap as soon as possible. 🙂

  4. I would like to visit because I want to see the kangaroo there haha. However, these reasons are considerable, especially the food.

    1. I’m a big fan of wildlife watching too… and there would definitely be plenty of great photo opportunities!
