6 Bucket List Experiences To Tick Off In 2019

2019 is fast approaching and there are plans to be made, resolutions to be made and things to do, but one of the best things that you can do when you are looking ahead to 2019 is to plan to check off some of the biggest bucket list ideas around. It doesn’t matter whether you are looking at classic destinations or quirky destinations that are off the beaten track. Your Instagram feed is going to be popping out in 2019, with vacations galore and places to see.

There are classic trips you can take to the Great Barrier Reef, or foodie trips that see you eating through all of the culinary hotspots in Japan. You could be on a boat and whale-watching, seeing some of the biggest mammals in the world up close. While you’re at it, searching for a studio for rent that will be helpful for you during your stay is going to help you to feel grounded while you’re somewhere entirely new. So, if you want vacation suggestions that are going to make you feel like you’re staring in awe at the sights in front of you, check out these six must-see, bucket list experiences that you will never regret experiencing in 2019.

The stunning Aurora Borealis

The Northern Lights, Iceland/Norway

These are on the list of many bucket list planners, and during the winter months there are tons of places that you can go to see some of the mesmerizing colours of the Aurora Borealis – or the Northern Lights. This is a natural spectacle that can make anyone feel completely in awe. Remote cottages make for a good choice in Iceland, but there are plenty of vacations that you can take that embrace touring to see the Lights.

Stroll The Great Wall Of China

It’s a piece of world history, and the walk you can take along the Great Wall can put you in the path of history itself. It’s just outside Beijing, and there are plenty of apartment options for you to stay in. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it dates all the way back to the 7th Century. So, when you step on that Great Wall, you’re rewinding time further than you ever thought you could. The Old City’s East Gate is a good place to base yourself during your trip, so get hunting.

Relax In Balinese Paradise

Unique culture, stunning scenery and a myriad of activity, the paradise you find in Bali is like nothing you’ll ever experience again. Base yourself in Seminyak for the beautiful beaches and enjoy an Indonesian paradise that doesn’t quit. You can find relaxing, private retreat without searching too hard, and if you want to have an exciting experience, then think about searching for the right beaches and plan yourself a morning trek up the Mount Batur.

An Open Space In The Grand Canyon

The sheer size of a chasm this big deserves some attention and as it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the Natural World, it’s a place you need to visit to truly appreciate. There are places to explore, helicopter rides to enjoy, perfect vacation rentals nearby to be close to all the action. You never have to worry about missing out with the Grand Canyon, as there will always be something to do and something to see.

Go wildlife spotting on a safari…

So Safari

South Africa has so much to offer, and if you have always wanted to see a lion in the wild, you need to head here. You’ll see the Big 5 – lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos – while spending time near South Africa’s Kruger National Park. The location is secure and there are local shopping hotspots for after you have your fill of the animals.

The Great Barrier Reef

Something that needs no introduction is the Great Barrier Reef, the ultimate Australian adventure. Grab some scuba gear and stay at nearby Port Douglas for the ultimate base. Lush gardens, swimming pools and shopping aplenty, the Great Barrier Reef offers tours via land, air or ocean and they are all there to help you to see something beautiful.

Bigging up your bucket list for 2019 is going to help you to experience something spectacular at least once. There are plenty more places to see in 2019, of course, but these are the biggest and best that should be featuring on your bucket list. Take the time to sleep well and travel well, and you won’t be able to resist some of the most spectacular places in the world.

Happy Travelling

  1. The Northern Lights = what my husband and I want to do next. We did a Safari last year around this time and this year we are checking a baby off our to do list – haha (so no travels). But hopefully next year we get back to exploring!

    1. We’re hoping to go to Iceland to see them next year too (not that you can guarantee seeing them of course!)… hope you get there!

  2. Northern Lights and Great Barrier Reef are two that I would love to see, too! I went to the Grand Canyon when I was in 7th grade. It was neat, but would have been much more interesting if we had more time. We were only there for a few hours so didn’t get to do a lot.

    1. Me too… although there is so much I want to do I’m not sure I’ll ever manage it all lol! I’d love to visit the Grand Canyon… such a shame you didn’t get more time there!

    1. Me too! We had a safari booked many years ago, but it got cancelled at the last minute and we’ve never booked another… hopefully one day!

  3. Been lucky enough to experience a couple of these but would love to see the Northern Lights someday. Iceland is definitely somewhere we’d love to go to.

  4. These are all wonderful places to go! I reallllly want to go to Bali and the Grand Canyon! Those are definitely on my bucket list 🙂

    1. There are just so many fantastic places to visit aren’t there… my bucket list is growing faster than I’m ticking things off it!

  5. I definitely would love to see The Northern Lights, in Iceland/Norway for sure. I also would like to relax in Balinese paradise.

  6. Omg, I would love to do all of these. I REALLY would like to see the northern lights though. Have since I was little. The great Wall of China is definitely on my life bucket list!

    1. They are both definitely on mine – hoping I’ll do them one day soon… and hopefully before the Great Barrier Reef is completely destroyed!
